Silvertown Blues

My life has apparently been too dull to post about of late … I’ve been hunkered down with edits on my edition of The Middle English Metrical Paraphrase of the Old Testament. It’s a 700-page manuscript and I need to finish it in the next three weeks.

So, to calm the masses, here’s an utterly terrific fan-made video for Mark Knopfler’s song, “Silvertown Blues.” I’ve been listening to this piece quite a bit, and I think this video nicely captures the state of East London in 2002 that Mark’s singing about:

      I’m afraid not. A shame, too, as it was a fine little flick.
